Why I haven't posted // I'm Vegetarian
Hey, it's been a while.
So, I haven't been able to spend a whole bunch of my time writing on my blog. Which seems kind of silly, you're probably thinking like yeah whatever. But seriously, I have been so busy with school, my dogs and Brady. First off school has been kicking my butt. I just had mid terms, so I had two huge tests, a paper, a unit due and just weekly stuff for my lab. So when I wasn't going to class, I was home doing homework for countless hours. It SUCKED! In my free time I have been training my puppy Mylee and making sure to take my other dogs on walks and socialize them with other dogs. Well that seems pretty nice right? Well Mylee ended up getting sick and was on medication and I found out that Mayzee has allergy's. So I've been trying to find what helps best with dog allergy's and so far I've found a few things and they have seemed to help a bunch! But I'm always open for suggestions so let me know if you have any. In the mix of all of this I have to have time with Brady. Just a few weeks ago I saw him only twice in like a 10 day span for about 8 hours. I hear you saying like OMG Rylee people do long distance stop complaining and I hear you but it still sucked, haha. So life has just got the best of me...
From the title you can see that I have gone vegetarian. It's something I've done before but always seem to go back to eating meat. Which is weird because I didn't eat red meat anyways. I think whatever works for you and your body. For me being vegetarian so far has made me feel good about myself, it's defiantly made me eat healthier and try new things. I don't drink milk, eat yogurt or eat eggs and I'm slowly trying to cut out cheese but honestly I love cheese. You are probably thinking like why all the sudden did you decide to eat NO meat of any sort, well I'm actually writing a research paper on animal testing/animal cruelty and some of the things I have read, and watched really pushed me over the edge. I also don't like the taste of most meats. It wasn't really a hard switch, I ate slim to no meat anyways. I think if you eat meat and that makes you happy, then eat meat. But being vegetarian makes me happy and fits my life style. I've noticed I don't feel as tired or groggy throughout the day. I have also cut out pop (soda) and energy drinks, I haven't drank an energy drink since before Christmas and I use to have one everyday! Hopefully someday I can go vegan. We will see though. The best part is I have made a bunch of vegan sweets, like strawberry muffins (these are my new obsession) , lemon blueberry muffins, banana bread, blueberry bread. Also a bunch of vegetarian dinners like artichoke rolls, veggie stir fry, veggie burgers with homemade fries, homemade tortilla soup with quesadillas and a bunch more. Since I've started being vegetarian it's made me step out of my comfort zone and cook more and try new things. I can hear you saying like what do you eat if your out and about and here are a few things I enjoy, I love the veggie soup and the vegetarian sandwich from Café Zupas, I love the restaurant BBQ For Life they have vegan options and their vegan nachos are amazing. Also I can't remember the restaurant name but it's right by BSU and I always get brown rice, teriyaki sauce, veggies, tofu (if I feel like it that day) and edamame and it's like my favorite place to stop for lunch right now haha. Lastly I want to say that I being vegetarian is my choice, it's my body. I find other sources of protein and don't want to hear any of your opinions. If you have anything negative to say, keep it to your self. :)
ps: I'll be back to posting once a week. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to comment down below.
