my skin care routine
Honestly I didn't start taking care of my skin really well until about a year and a half ago. I've always had pretty nice skin. But seriously when I say taking care of your skin is important I'm serious. It doesn't matter if you have dry, normal or oily skin you always need to take care of your skin. So here's what I do, I'm sure I could add more steps but for right now this works for me.
My daily routine:
1. I take off my makeup with the Burts Bees Sensitive Makeup Wipes ( they are in the white package and you can find them at Walmart// the knockoff version by the Walmart brand is not even close to the same)
2. I then wash my face with the Derma E Hydrating Cleanser with hyaluronic acid. I splash my face with warm water to open up more pours and then apply my face wash and rinse off with warm water as well.
3. Then I use toner and my favorite is the Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol Free Toner - Rose Petal. I apply this on a cotton pad removing an access dirt or makeup from my face. Alcohol is really bad to smear all over your face so please make sure you are checking the ingredients to your skin care products a lot of micellar waters and toners are made with alcohol.
4. Then I dab a small amount of my Derma E Hydrating Eye Crème under my eyes with my ring finger then I use my Real Techniques eye reviver // you can get this in a prep and prime set at Walmart. It is the most amazing thing, and it's helped a lot with my dark circles under my eyes.
5. Next, I use my Derma E Hydrating Day Cream all over my face.
6. I then take one-two pumps of my Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum and rub/pat into my skin.
7. I take the Mario Badescu Facial Spray Mist Lavender Aloe Chamomile or the Derma E Hydrating Facial Mist with Hyaluronic Acid and Squirt it all over my face.
8. Lastly a important step in my skin care routine is exfoliating. Personally I exfoliate 3 times a week with the Dr.Brandt PoreDermabransion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator.
- In the morning I do the same routine except I don't take off my makeup, and I usually wash my face in the shower.
- I would like to mention that occasionally I get break outs and I use the Burts Bees Blemish Stick. I just roll it on the blemish and it helps reduce the size and the redness.
- I buy these products at the Boise Co-op or Ulta.com (all of the products I mentioned can be found on Ulta.com) but some of them can be found at Walmart as well.
Lastly I use these products because they work for me, I do recommend them for you if you have dry, sensitive skin. All of the brands I use on my face are cruelty free/ all but the Dr. Brandt exfoliator are all natural and I will be switching to a Derma E exfoliator once I finish the bottle of Dr. Brant. I have sensitive skin and none of these products break me out. The products mentioned aren't too expensive other than the Dr. Brant exfoliator, it's $59 dollars but everything else is under 25! But I also think that your skin is something worth splurging on. Your skin is an investment, I'm always trying to avoid dry patches, and blemish's. Dryer skin is more likely to get wrinkles and I'm trying to avoid those at all costs. You are probably thinking your 18, but it's never to early to start prepping and taking care of your skin. At 30 it takes more time to get rid of dead skin, so exfoliating is really important. If you have any questions about your anything feel free to comment down below.
